Sabah Adventure Challenge is a multi-day adventure race from dawn to dusk in the heart of North Borneo in which endurance and adventure athletes will compete in either the Adventure or Extreme categories over a race course covering 150 Kilometers..  The 2010 race begins on the 2nd April 2010 till the 4th April 2010 with teams of two or three mountain biking, orienteering, paddling, tubing and trekking from check point to check point along the highlands of Sabah with rolling hills, glorious views of Mount Kinabalu, and exploring through the native villages and rivers of North Borneo. Teams can look forward to 45% Mountain Biking, 45% trekking and biathlon/trail running as well as 10% dedicated to a traditional water sport in this 150 Kilometer race over the Crocker Range of North Borneo and into the Tambunan Valley of North Borneo.
Competitors will be bunked in at local villages and have an opportunity to not only meet fellow competitors aspiring for adventure but also an opportunity to discover a part of Borneo, few have the opportunity to visit. Teams will also be challenged with the difficult terrain and challenging race course the race directors have put together once again for the 11th year running for those who are keen on taking up the challenge of yet another Sabah Adventure Challenge. The Sabah Adventure Challenge is South-East Asia's oldest multi-day adventure race since 1998 and is organized on a voluntary basis each year by individuals for the love of the sport.  |  |
